How to cool your pool!
Different ideas on pool covers, shade, and passive cooling. My pool water temp used to get over 90 but now the hottest it gets is 87 or 88 degrees no matter how hot it is outside - all with passive cooling. I have tried various solar shades and misting fountains and show you what works for me.

Retrofitting a Generator Wheel Kit from Harbor Freight
Просмотров 5894 месяца назад
This is part 3 of the Wen Generator restoration. I in this final chapter I adapt a wheel kit meant for a trash pump to the Wen Generator. I chose this kit because it has large pneumatic tires and it seemed the easiest to retrofit to a generator with no provisions for wheels. It takes some rigging but ends up working fine in the end. On Demand Air for Shop Workbench - Remote Control of Air Compressor
Thanks for the video, I've been dealing with this for around 6 months. Codes come on about 6 times now. So I'll try this solution tonight.
I would drill right through and us a bolt washers and nut. On the arm.
What deep socket wrench did you use for this?? The video was so helpful. I was not able to unscrew my broken diverter with the wrench/pliers I had on hand, so I bought a socket wrench set but the 17mm was not deep enough to reach back into the wall. THANK YOU for any guidance you can provide!!
Sorry it's just a regular craftsman brand socket...i can't remember the size but i bet you can buy one on amazon individually (it's called a deep socket)
@@BubbasWorkshop I was able to get the broken diverter out with a deep socket / extension bar 🎉 The new diverter is now in! Do you have any idea who the shower trim is made by? I've called Moen and Danze, but nobody recognizes it so far. I lost the little screws that go in the handle (rookie mistake) and need to see if I can purchase replacements. Thank you SO MUCH in advance for your time and any help you can provide!! This is the only video I've been able to find that is an exact match for my shower. Thank you for making it 😊
@@Freesia the brand is Grohe 👍
Have a 32 year old Honda open frame generator, which runs great. It's 90 pounds and I carry it to the back yard when we loose power. No more I was in Harber Freight today and bought the wheel kit. Thanks for the video.
I don't know why they don't make these wheel kits for generators with the big tires..it works great!
That set of seals look like the aaa pumps i think is the same set i bought for 47$
Awesome
too many commercials
Very informative video, would using blue dye help you see where your spray has covered?
Yes...I actually do use the blue dye stuff when spraying and it does help keep you on track
I just bought an F150 to tow behind our class C and I had an idea that someone was making a mechanical brake system. I'm just not a fan of the electrical stuff or the little smart box that pushes on the brake pedal. Thanks for the video and good job filming.
Good luck!
You did a fantastic job! She’s beautiful!
Thanks!
How's this chipper doing after all this time?
I don't use it very often but it still works perfectly..
simple and very functional. I'm going to use these thanks
and inexpensive :)
Thank you for the video. Found one like that on the curb, new blades all it’s needs
Glad it helped
great idea , didnt think of trimmer line , but now they have a .. USA MADE!!, gotcha sprayer pro, accesories, and u can ( ha ha ) tilt / angle the can / direct the spray !! great video !!
Hi, My craftsman lawn mower starts but it doesn’t have any power to it, blade rotates but slowly not normally. You think I have same issue? Thanks!
Hey quick question if I wanted to add a zone on the the clock manually on the little screen am I able to do that and adjust watering days times and start times ? Thank you
@@PeterPrasnal-wm3cw you can do everything on the screen but it would be a pain because it's really small... If you don't have internet where the controller is you could take it in your house and plug it in and program it and then take it out there or if your phone is a hotspot you can probably connect to it that way. If you're not going to use the app or the online tool I would recommend getting one that's more manual meant for programming on the spot.
@@BubbasWorkshop hey bubba I am a gardener adding drip pipe to an irrigation system and want to add a couple zones the owner has the wifi hooked up and the app on his phone can I got to the clock and add a zone while it is still in online mode? Thanks
@@BubbasWorkshop another question I haves is I saw u can go into offline mode and add zones manage start times run times etc… but when I switch the clock back into online mode will it save what I did
Replaced the voltage regulator and still gives me the same voltage the old one gave me. (2.6v) what else could be causing this?
Have you tried adjusting the voltage regulator? It's been a while since I made that video but I remember having to make adjustments to get the voltage right? There is a small potentiometer/screw on the back of the VR that you turn to adjust voltage - start with 1 full turn and see what happens and make sure you do this while the generator is NOT running.
Thank you. Excellent demonstration.
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have a link or name of the kit?
Harbor Freight wheel kit for trash pump www.harborfreight.com/10-in-wheel-kit-for-predator-2-in-semi-trash-water-pump-57322.html
God bless
Such a pain in the ass
A friend of mine gave me this exact one a couple months ago, which he got from his grandfather. I’m going to try to get it running this weekend.
Good Luck!
I used tie wraps to keep my ball in the hole. Worked fine. I agree... Stupid design but cheap to manufacture.
25 seconds..good bye pump...
I dont know if you still have the bus but do you mind telling me what the belt part number is? My belt is still very loose; bouncing around at the crank pulley even after installing a new tensioner (old one was definitely bad and shaky itself).
sorry I don't but if you get the engine serial # cummins can look up the part# for you (that's what I did). The engine serial number is located in two places on your 8.3L. 1) On a data plate located on the top side of the gear housing. (Streetside - front) It is the top number on the right side of the plate. 2) On the engine block on top of the lubricating oil cooler housing.
Thanks for the video! My Northstar 21 Gallon sprayer unit didn't come with assembly instructions so your video saved me a lot of head-scratching. Much appreciated. Take care!
You're welcome!
@@BubbasWorkshop I guess they don't put assembly instructions in the 21 gallon sprayer. Mine didn't have instructions either.
Did you need to drill a second hole for breakaway cable near original hole I didn’t see that step. Great instructional video
You can if you want...I didn't because since the cable is only used in an emergency I just ran it through the hold for the winch.
I tried this about 20 times on my 2011 Wrangler JK and nothing happened. Any idea why? I tried it slow, fast, all the way off, only to acc, literally everything?
Sorry no clue..maybe 2011 is different?..if you get NonE message that means it didn't find anything.
I have one. Also sitting for 15 years with fuel in it, but in new condition otherwise. Gonna try to get it running following your lead. I’ll report back. Disclaimer: I’m not all that mechanically inclined.😂
Good luck! It's actually a really cool, smooth running generator. FYI if you get it running I did another vid using a wheel kit from a water pump to put on it.
The oil filters on Amazon & eBay are all fake. My best friend is a master tech at Hyundai since 2002 and he explained to me the several details that give them away. - The easiest way to spot a fake is that sticker... Real filters have never come with that holographic sticker. Those stickers can be purchased off Alibaba for cheap and just slapped on. - The second easy giveaway is the silicone drain back valve... The fake filter's drain back valves tend to not shut on their own if you press down on them using a flat head that fits between the holes. Simply press down gently on the valve through the holes and notice that they don't shut completely. This causes oil to return to the pan and causes a longer dry start on your next cold start (like after changing the oil it takes a second longer for the oil light to go out). - Last easy giveaway is that real filters have a nice pattern etched on the spiral perforated metal center, while the fakes lack the pattern entirely. What I mean by this is on the sections where it is not perforated and closed it has a nice indented pattern all on it. The fakes didn't take the time to care about doing this as it's too much detail. These are just 3 of several more differences, but the clear giveaway is the sticker. If it has a sticker, automatically a fake filter. Otherwise, use it at your own risk. Hope this helps.
The filter that came on the car from the factory had the sticker on it...it's one of the three in the video so what you are saying may be true for some filters but not these. FYI the car had 2 miles on it when we bought it so it was the filter that came from the factory.
could i access that oilplug without removing the axle and pump old oil out?
I don't think so..if you have the same transmission i do then hoisting it up is the best way (look for another video I did where i hang it by the front...that's the way to do it!
Thanks for this video Bubba! Helpful tip.
glad it helped!
The steering is a POS
no kidding...built to fail
I did exactly that & it worked ice cold beverage & a 👍👊🏼🤘🏼awesome idea
Glad it worked!
Thanks for making the video, I was just looking at these on Amazon and wondering if they were any good. They are under $20 so I think I get them, I hate the front of my pants and shoes are covered with clippings and hard to clean, I think these will solve that problem for me.
Honestly these things are awesome...I still use them everytime and there has been no wear after a year of use (and I live in Tx so I weed eat probably 7 mos out of the year)
Amazing job! I just got a g4200 HST from my neighbor for $200. ALL the electrical needs repair. I was able to give the fuel pump power and flow the plugs to get it running. I’m having a hard time thinking through the electrical, I need to study the diagrams and wrap my head around it.
Awesome! I wish mine was an HST if it was I'd fab or retrofit a deck for it.
This might be a dumb question but you figured your mix with a dry weight in oz.s, if you use a liquid herbicide would you use still use a weight in oz.s, or fluid oz.s? Thanks, great video btw!
Basically you use whichever measurement the herbicide uses so if it says x amount of liquid ounces per acre then use liquid ounces if it says dry ounces use dry ounces 👍
Thanks!
Do you happen to have pics of the brake system, specifically the pads?
Is yours a hydro or gear drive? if you look @ 3:20 in this video I believe it shows the brake disc...I'll look at it tomorrow or next day to verify... ruclips.net/video/mi6j3EbUWUA/видео.htmlsi=J9oRJj8JbiMe2tnr&t=200
also here i believe you can see the disk behind the fuel pump ruclips.net/video/CJOtBAmpUfw/видео.htmlsi=ntExHv783ykTtjAz&t=484
Have you actually ever done this on a ship? I'm going on msc next week and the WiFi prices are ridiculous for a family of 3. Thanks
Yes this is based on personal experience👍 about two years ago.
How about a socket extension
Yup. Mine came in yesterday. All you said plus protection from dang poison ivy!!
I love them.... Just used them yesterday!

Hubby talked to someone that said a lot of times when there’s a lightning strike it will take out the coils on the valves, so he’s going to have to ring all those out to with a meter, there’s about 8 or 10 of them and there all under ground. Is this true?
Luckily I didn't have any damage besides the controller itself...the coils are pretty tough (just an electromagnet - no electronics). If you had a strike and the controller is dead i'd start there first then see what works and what doesn't and go from there. The coils (sprinkler valves) are underground but should be housed in little containers covered with a green lid (or similar) so they aren't hard to work on. If a valve (the coil is what moves the valve) doesn't work they are easy to replace.
Was there anything that you had to do to the stations or just replace the controller?
I have a S170, just wondering if same bearing conversion kit will work for my mower.
I'm almost sure they do...i believe it's a 5/8 axle. I would look on john deere parts site and see if the front wheel assembly has the same part#. I did look at a couple listings and the s170 WAS listed it just doesn't show up in the description (but if you look at details of the listing on amazon it lists 50+models it fits).
great video. thank you!
thanks!
Caution should be taken when cranking the motor with the plug out, sometimes the cylinder can be full of gas due to a bad fuel shut off and when the motor spits out the gas the spark plug or the plug wire can spark causing a fire 🔥🔥🔥
Good point!
After the 5 qt. I splash it up to the top with dura lube.
That rust will buff right out 😂
Good job 👍 but doesn't work with X300.
